Challenge

How might we enable CMS to follow incontinence patients go through their disease journey?

OUR JOURNEY

First, we started with desk research and understand this disease condition and patient behaviour. Next day we had field research such as interviews with specialists and staff and also patients in Centro Santagostino to collect insights.

Insights

Patients usually come to the doctor CMS, when it’s too late. They try to self-treat and self-diagnose. They are also confused with the process of treatment.

        Also patients usually

  • Have Fear of judgment from others.

  • Feel embarrassed

  • Tend to get isolated

  • Prefer to talk about incontinence with close friends

  • Acceptance is a hard phase.

OUR JOURNEY

After collecting field and desk research and extracting insights, we started to brainstorm different ideas in one day and reach 3 main concepts. Among all, we picked one and decided to work on an online journey for incontinence patients on CMS platform.

Concept

What is added to the patient's journey is to help them keep connected and updated with the community of patients with the same disease (not only people with incontinence disorder but all the patient can use this feature)

CMS with you! is an additional new service features inside CMS digital platforms, they help the patient go through their disease journey starting from finding out the right speciality needed, choose the prefered consultation type until they are connected with the community of CMS patient with the same problem (in this case Incontinence).
